a journey through God's Word

Bible Studies

There are several different studies available on this website.

You will find here the old favorite, Through the Bible in a Year, which is a chronological study of the Bible.  I have written these 52 weekly studies with women in mind, but guys you are welcome too!  I have divided these into four quarters for classroom use, but they are also great for individual, or small group study.  Many have also used these for one on one discipling with those new to the Bible.

Traveling God's Word is a more in-depth study of the books of Genesis and Job, thought to be the oldest of the Bible's books.

The newest studies are Treasures in Jars of Clay, where I take a look at Bible characters, and how their lives and example relate to ours. The premise for these studies is based on 2 Corinthians 4:7 which says, "But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us."  I don't know about you, but for this jar of clay, that is great news!

Another new series of studies that I have just begun, and will add to from time to time, is on Bible Places and Things. It is fascinating to see all the things God has done in a particular location, as well as the ways He uses tangible objects to show spiritual truths.

Other studies available here are A Sure Foundation, which examines the Scriptural foundations of our basic beliefs. The kid sized version of this is a study called Making it Mine, which is written to encourage 3rd through 6th graders to develop a faith of their own.
